Principal's Welcome

Thank you for visiting our academy website.  Here you will find all the information you need to make an informed choice as to why we offer an enriching and rewarding school life for the children in our care.

We believe that learning needs to meet the needs of all learners within our academy, therefore we offer a wide variety of curriculum activities to stimulate, engage and develop life-long learners, truly ‘Enriching Learning, Enriching Life’.

We uphold strong Christian values within everyday life at Dawley, focussing on our core values of love, trust, hope and peace, believing that we are unique children of God and we need to challenge ourselves daily to strive to do better and achieve more.

Dawley C of E Primary Academy is a large part of the local community, having a long history of families who were educated here. Our aim is to provide quality learning opportunities and a love for learning that children will use as a firm basis to achieve their aspirations. The school strives to provide the necessary skills help children to develop and grow in their community and prepare them for a life in modern Britain.

We have strong links with our local church, Holy Trinity, where children enjoy active worship once a month, this is further cemented by church community members leading a once a week worship session.  Close and effective partnerships with parents and carers are the foundations for children to thrive and flourish during their time at Dawley C of E Primary Academy.

We have strong, child led groups in school via our Fellowship Groups, which underpin the Christian values we uphold in the academy.  We have an Academy Fellowship Council, who meet with the principal to discuss and develop the school at a strategic level.

At Dawley we all strive to achieve 'The Dawley Mindset'.  We wholeheartedly believe that all individuals should be able to reach their full potential, so we are developing young individuals who are not afraid to challenge themselves and understand that effort is rewarded and will develop resilient people for the future.

We like children to have a variety of learning experiences, both in the school and in the wider community and beyond.  The school promotes an active sports philosophy, participating in a wide and varied range of sports and physical activities with local schools and further a field.  Please check out our Twitter feed to see some of the exciting opportunities our children have had.

We hope you like all that Dawley C of E has to offer!

Mr Andrews
